Katya Constant had?a blast attending Sifted Summit last week! It was an incredible experience discussing "Building Climate Tech 2.0: Tapping into the Big Infrastructure Funders" alongside Edward Shenderovich, Bailey Morrow, and Steven Meersman, and expertly moderated by Freya Pratty. Our key take-away's were: (1) Take the time early on to understand which capital sources are relevant for your business at each stage, and who is best placed to understand and underwrite the risks specific to your business - The Climate Brick manual was designed to help exactly with this! (2) Develop relationships with future funders early to build trust and track record. Learn their language and understand how they see the world and what boxes they will try to fit you in. (3) It's not just a capital gap, but also a capability gap: ensure you bring in the relevant expertise early to differentiate and set up for success (not just "finance" but specific skills like structuring, securitising, project development etc) A special thanks to those who joined the conversation before and after the session—it was great connecting, and looking forward to continuing the discussions! #SiftedSummit #ClimateTech #Startups #Innovation?
