Such a long way we have come in such a short time. Had a great meeting at the Climate Action Museum this evening! Linda Sanchez is my hero. As board chair she’s championed the museum. Last year, approximately 10k visitors! With notables like Tom Skilling and JB Pritzker stopping in to check out the buzz. We had a great “Meeting of the Whole” this evening with over a dozen Co-Founders and volunteers, led by founder Doug Farr, FAIA, LEED AP, CNU-A. Got to catch up with fellow co founders like Steven Vance. We brainstormed amazing and exciting ideas for the CAM’s future. Speaking of CAM’s future…. Do you want to volunteer or get involved? Would you or your company like to sponsor or host and event there? The CAM needs the Chicago sustainability community to help it double and triple its impact. I’ll be a docent at the AIA Chicago Open House Chicago event, you’ll find me between the heat pump and the induction cooktop, just across from the retrofit insulated ballon frame Chicago brick walls…?? As a part of #OpenHouseChicago this weekend, I enjoyed visiting the Climate Action Museum in West Loop. It really hit the center of the venn diagram of my passions for data and climate stewardship. A couple of things that stood out to me: the sustainable advantages of living in a city where there are walkable neighborhoods and that the most energy efficient buildings were built more than 100 years ago.
