  • We, with pleasure and great pride, would like to present to you a recording of the speeches from the RTR Conference that took place earlier this year in Brussels, Belgium. At this event, Hendrik Vansompel - one of the key members of the consortium and the scientific coordinator of the project - made a presentation about our project. He comprehensively highlighted the current results and successes of engineering and scientific research and informed about future stages and aims. The video of the presentation is available at the link (the discussed moment of presentation begins since 1:06:06). In addition to our project, other related projects of the E-VOLVE Cluster were presented, the results of which have a complex importance for the development and technological progress in this area. We are grateful to the Prof. Vansompel for the presentation and his diligent work, and we are confident that during the ongoing project we will have opportunities for interesting presentations and demonstrations in the future. Stay tuned! We also sincerely thank Joao Duarte Miranda (CINEA) and Dr. Damian Backes (ika RWTH-Aachen) - the organizers and the moderators of the conference and hope for further fruitful cooperation! #CliMAFlux #RTR2025 #Evolve #EUTransportResearch #HorizonEU #axialfluxmotor #horizoneurope https://lnkd.in/eA7S2p3t

  • We are pleased to inform you that on the 14th and 15th of January a consortium meeting was held in Kortrijk in the technology park Evolis of our industrial partner - TRAXIAL. At the meeting the results and outcomes of the previous phase of ongoing project were presented as well as plans for the medium- and long-term prospects were detailed?and outlined. Each of the responsible project partners gave a presentation?of their work packages or relevant tasks and highlight key moments and ideas for further discussion in order to collect the opinions of all participants. During the meeting were also set up a few Breakout groups, which focused on technical aspects that require attention in relation to IDU and the AF active suspension. The partners came to productive conclusions on important discussion points. We would also like to mention a workshop about developing the components with consideration of the sustainability framework, conducted by one of our partners - Lorenzo Berzi. It is useful to identify relevant key performance indicators and factors that can have a significant impact on both the development-production processes and also on further stages of exploitation and dissemination. We warmly thank all partners of the meeting for their contribution to the attainments and achievements of the project and additional the team of TRAXIAL for their hospitality! The Consortium meeting might be regarded as successful and allowed us to align all key moments and milestones of the project. #CliMAFlux #horizoneurope #Traxial #UGent #POLITO #UNIFI #TENNECO #Bluways #STARD

  • Today we would like to present you the interview with our partner - Politecnico di Torino (POLITO)! 1. What is the main R&D profile of your organisation and what technologies and innovations will you apply in this project? In the CliMAFlux project, the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (DIMEAS - Dipartimento di Ingegneria Meccanica e Aerospaziale) of POLITO is involved and more specifically the Vehicle Dynamics research team, led by Prof. Mauro Velardocchia. POLITO is work package leader on the design activities of the robust real-time control algorithms exploiting the benefits of the axial flux drive system. The activity will include: (1) the development of an optimisation framework for different architectures of electric powertrain, (2) the integration of multiphysics models of other partners in a unique environment for the (3) development of digital twins of the powertrain subsystem; (4) adaptive digital twins with computationally efficient formulations will be implemented for predicting and controlling the electrical, mechanical and thermal dynamics of the powertrain; (5) predictive controllers will be conceived and assessed for: (i) anti-jerk control to attenuate the torsional drivetrain dynamics, (ii) energy recuperation and management, and (iii) chassis control through active suspension actuators based on axial flux electric machine technology. ? 2.
