Did you get it right? The answer to yesterday's Safety Check Tuesday question is safety glasses. Everyday use of prescription corrective lenses will not provide adequate protection against most occupational eye and face hazards, so employers must make sure that employees with corrective lenses either wear eye protection that incorporates the prescription into the design or wear additional eye protection over their prescription lenses. Did you get it right? The answer to yesterday's Safety Check Tuesday question is Electrical Shock. The best answer to the question is 'Electrical shock.' Properly installed and properly used GFCIs will trip to stop the flow of an electrical current at between 5 and 8 milliamps. Because this amount of current is slightly above the threshold of physical recognition, such a 5 to 8 milliamp current may cause a shock, but not death. Did you get it right? The answer to yesterday's Safety Check Tuesday question is 5,000 pounds. Personal fall protection systems must be able to handle consistent loads to work properly if there is a fall. An anchor must be capable of supporting 5,000 pounds. So should lanyards, d-rings, and snap-hooks. For more on fall protection, check out our course: https://bit.ly/3DG7xAX
