Talent has no gender, no nationality, no accent, no ethnicity. At ClickHouse, we’ve just completed our quarterly compensation review and this time round, most promotions were awarded to women. ? Not because they’re women. ? Not because we planned it this way. ? Because decisions were made based on merit ?? and it was the outcome of the normal course of business. Managers shared their recommendations, team by team, and the focus was placed on each person’s contributions, very factually. Focus on merit leaves no room for biases and gives talented people a chance to be recognised for the true value of their work! ?? Congratulations + Thank You ?? to all managers at ClickHouse who help make decisions about people based on merit alone, day in, day out. Skool is a community platform that allows creators and hobbyists to build and monetize their own communities, empowering everyone from educators to celebrities. After using Postgres for both transactional and analytics workloads, Skool realized they needed a faster, more scalable database to support their growing platform. That’s when they turned to ClickHouse. At a recent meetup in LA, Skool’s Head of Data, Jason Anderson, shared how they’ve reduced analytics query times from minutes to seconds, as well as some of the new use cases powered by ClickHouse: ?? Real-time observability: Using Grafana and ClickHouse, Skool monitors both front-end and back-end performance in real-time ?? Experimentation: Skool runs A/B tests with ClickHouse, allowing them to measure and optimize user flows based on real-time data ??
