Plus, with ongoing changes at the national level, including tariffs and the pause on the EPA’s Clean Port Grant Program, the Port is closely monitoring how these decisions could affect our region. ?? We were thrilled to host the incredible delegation from County Sligo, Ireland, at our offices! It's important for us to continue building connections with industry leaders both domestically and internationally. We look forward to the possibility of future collaborations and the exciting opportunities ahead!
Tremendous two days this week hosting a distinguished delegation from County Sligo in Ireland with my Team NEO colleague, Irish Honorary Consul Mark Owens, MBA. We welcomed Aidan Doyle and Fintan Kennedy from the Sligo Chamber of Commerce and Liam Kiely and Emer Concannon from Sligo County Council. The delegation visited a wide variety of Northeast Ohio companies and organizations, including the Port of Cleveland and Lorain Port, University Hospitals Ventures, MAGNET: The Manufacturing Advocacy and Growth Network, Alliance For Working Together (AWT) Foundation, bloc digital, and STERIS where they had the opportunity to meet with CEO Dan Carestio and other executives. The Mentor Area Chamber of Commerce also hosted the delegation for the annual State of the City address by City Manager Ken Filipiak. Terrific collborative success in showing off all our region has to offer Irish companies and organizations - and so many others around the world. ????????
