Spending two days at the Clemson University Social Media Listening Center at Clemson University was such a great way to give back for Social Media Week ?? I had the opportunity to speak with incredible students whose commitment and curiosity yielded really thoughtful questions in the realm of “getting started on their goals today” and tangible skill sets that could serve them well inside and outside of social media ?????? I thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to share my biggest lesson from my career so far: not being afraid of being the one who stands out in a sea of people fitting in ??? And, as always, it was an absolute pleasure getting to share space with my good friend, Paige Walker, who shared tangible insight into how she continues to evolve her function from the ground up at The Hershey Company ?? Friday, January 31st join us to hear from Dr. Enamul Kabir for our Social Scholarship Series! Dr. Kabir is our very own Research Associate with the Social Media Listening Center. Dr. Kabir's research delves into understanding how online interaction patterns affect marginalized ethnic identities, public health, and the environment. His prior research utilized novel computational techniques for social media data analytics in the realms of hate and counter-hate discourse, misinformation, and democratic participation.
