One of Clemson's co-op partners, AFL!: Real Experience, Real Impact AFL’s University Co-op Program gives Clemson students hands-on experience in a global company while developing key skills in engineering, project management, and business operations. During their time at AFL, students work on real projects that improve processes, reduce costs, and drive innovation—all while gaining expertise in tools like SolidWorks and Power BI. Many former co-ops have transitioned into full-time roles, with several celebrating 5+ and even 10+ years at AFL, some now in leadership positions! Clemson co-op student Jake Leinonen, now a full-time Process Engineer, reflects on his experience: "During my Co-op rotations, I really enjoyed the ripcord stand project. It had a lot of impact, and I see it on the line in HL2 today. I improved my time/project management, networking, and technical skills such as SolidWorks and Microsoft applications." ?? Each semester, they host anywhere from 18 to 40 Clemson co-op students across various departments, including Engineering, Accounting, Technical Functions, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Sales, and Purchasing.
