Our partnership with Vanderbilt University to expand access to clean energy in Brownsville, Tennessee, was featured in the Tennessee Advanced Energy Business Council (TAEBC)'s latest Economic Impact Report. TAEBC is the state's leading network for its advanced energy economy, and publishes their Economic Impact Report every three years to "provide context for decisions by public officials and private sector leaders to make lasting contributions to Tennessee's economic base for the next decade and beyond." It's been a busy few weeks for our Commercial Partnerships team! Emily Fairbank and Tucker Bartholomew have been traveling across the U.S. to discuss how partnering with Clearloop can help higher education institutions accelerate decarbonization while expanding equitable access to clean energy infrastructure in communities across the country. Emily addressed the Campus Facilities Summit, hosted by?Opal Group?in Austin, Texas, on the topic of "Accelerating Campus Decarbonization: Leveraging Sustainability Initiatives to Create Lasting Impact for Universities and Communities," before heading with Tucker to the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE)'s 2024 Conference and Expo in Anaheim, California. Along with our Silicon Ranch Corporation colleagues Ben Oberman and Nick de Vries, our team then headed to #VERGE24 (Trellis Group)?in San Jose to connect with climate tech innovators from across the country. #MakingSolarDoMore

Last week was an historic one for Clearloop and for decarbonization in the higher education sector more broadly as we celebrated our partnership with Vanderbilt University and the completion of a new solar farm in Panola County, Mississippi with a series of on-campus events! Titled "From Campus to Community: How Vanderbilt's carbon neutral commitment shows up as an economic development tool in Panola County, Mississippi," the celebratory event series kicked off on October 15 with a Made in Panola section at the Rand Farmer's Market. On October 16, we held a panel discussion at the Wond'ry to explore how our collaboration supports Vanderbilt's carbon neutral commitments and how local communities stand to benefit from these partnerships. Students, faculty, and staff had the opportunity to meet with leaders and representatives from Clearloop, Vanderbilt, Tallahatchie Valley Electric Power Association, and the PANOLA PARTNERSHIP, INC. about the work we are doing together. Finally, we had the honor of sponsoring the high-flying Vanderbilt Commodores' Football game against Ball State in Nashville on Saturday, "flipping the switch" on our Panola County solar project at halftime with our friends and partners. A huge thanks to our partners at Vanderbilt University and in Panola County for helping make this special week possible. We're inspired and reinvigorated to press ahead with our mission to expand access to clean energy in those communities across the country that stand to benefit most while helping our partners to meet their climate goals.
