?? From feedback to action: working together to build inclusion into humanitarian response ???? ???? Earlier this week, we hosted the second Humanitarian and Resilience Portfolio (HARP) Third Party Monitoring workshop in partnership with Fact Foundation and IMPACT Initiatives. Our recent assessment sought to understand how people affected by crises experience and perceive humanitarian service delivery, with the goal of enabling a more community-centered humanitarian response. We also presented findings and lessons from our recent round of Accountability to Affected Populations and Common Feedback Mechanism trainings for people in marginalized populations. Trainees included people with disabilities, widows, older persons, as well as pregnant and lactating women and adolescents. The discussions centered around how humanitarian operations should work, as well as people’s accountability rights and NGO and UN agency accountability obligations. The insightful conversations with HARP implementing partners at the workshop also included recommendations on promoting the integration of community feedback aimed at strengthening humanitarian efforts, thereby making humanitarian programming more responsive, transparent, and effective in Nigeria.

?? Growing language data, one sentence at a time! Our CEO Aimee Ansari was at LT4All 2025 conference, where she spoke with Professor Gloria M. T. Emezue, from Lanfrica, about data farming. Lanfrica build their datasets with the contribution of different communities of speakers, meeting them physically where they are. This means going directly to villages, markets, and communities. This approach fosters meaningful participation from the actual language owners and strengthens digital resources for African languages. ??
