Following another successful pilot, UC San Diego will increase its investment in Cleana’s innovative mess-preventing toilet seat on campus. With participation from facilities staff, maintenance, students, and faculty, the seats were piloted across multiple campus buildings and critical locations. They found the Cleana seats remained significantly cleaner between long cleaning shifts, giving students and faculty the cleanest toilets they’ve ever used while enabling cleaning staff to focus on high-priority jobs. We’re super excited to expand our relationship with the university and keep their toilets wicked Cleana!

At our startup Cleana, Inc., we spend a lot of time thinking about how we can make the bathroom better with great engineering. But what does this look like on a daily basis? Well for one, it means we spend much of our time in random bathrooms! Everyone on our team, from finance, engineering, and marketing, puts in the time to understand our customers and users; nobody gets a pass. In our case, that also means cleaning a whole lot of toilets for other people and installing seats for them too! But the juice is worth the squeeze.
