We highlighted federal and state EV funding opportunities and the importance of supportive policies - like a Clean Fuel Standard - for the continued growth of our state's EV infrastructure. ??? Electric School Bus (EBS) News! ?? ?? This Tuesday, Jackson Public Schools celebrated the deployment of 21 new EBSs and new EV charging infrastructure, purchased with funding from the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Clean School Bus Program. Chase Attanasio and Karey Hamrick attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony, supporting the collaborative work of 3 Clean Fuels Michigan members that helped bring this project to fruition: Highland Electric Fleets, Consumers Energy, and BorgWarner. Jackson is now the largest school district in Michigan to deploy ESBs and anticipates more than $100,000 in savings in the first 12 months of operation! ?? The MPSC announced nearly $21 million in grants for renewable energy and electrification projects, benefiting schools, community groups, tribes, and more. This funding, part of Public Act 119 of 2023, aims to support initiatives that align with the MI Healthy Climate Plan, focusing on reducing greenhouse gas emissions and achieving carbon neutrality.
