Our partners at Ruan Transportation Management Systems have completed their two-week trial running Clean Energy’s new Peterbilt Motors Company demo truck equipped with Cummins Inc. #X15N powered by ultraclean #renewablenaturalgas (#RNG). Taking it on challenging routes through SoCal’s mountainous terrain, Ruan were able to experience the engine’s impressive capabilities and the potential that RNG brings to reducing #carbonemissions and decarbonizing operations, all of which can be passed down to their customers. Our VP of Renewables, Sean Wine, spoke at Paper Transport's Transportation Innovation Forum this week sharing key insights into the world of #RNG for heavy-duty trucking fleets and shippers looking to decarbonize their supply chain operations. ??Key take aways from the session??: ?? RNG offset a total of 6.96 million tons of CO2e in 2023 reducing air pollution and emissions attributed to transportation ?? Fleets can save up to $2 per GGE depending on location in the U.S. by switching from diesel to RNG ?? Because "biogenic" CO2 emissions are reported separately from tailpipe emissions, RNG reduces Scope 1 or 3 emissions by 95%+ compared to diesel. ?? At –126.42, RNG (in CNG form) holds the lowest average carbon intensity (CI) of any clean fuel option on California’s roadways today #CleanEnergyFuels #renewablenaturalgas #RNG

We are excited be working with our partners at Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County for the build of its first private natural gas fueling station for Houston METRO buses. The new station is set to play a crucial role in Houston METRO’s efforts to reduce carbon emissions to meet its commitment of running fleet vehicles on zero emissions fuels by 2030. By transitioning to CNG, the transit fleet will be able to achieve a 90% reduction in NOx and tailpipe emissions, contributing to cleaner air in areas where the buses operate. "This deal demonstrates the confidence the city has in CNG as a cleaner, more efficient fuel to provide essential transport to millions of commuters daily. For Clean Energy, this represents the largest agreement we have won in the last decade, demonstrating the ongoing transition to cleaner-burning natural gas by some of the country’s largest fleets." #CleanEnergyFuels #compressednaturalgas #CNG https://lnkd.in/gSf7Gvdg
