From Anuja and Armin, "We had a choice between a big bank and Clean Energy CU. Financing our Rivian with Clean Energy CU was such a smooth and easy process. They gave us a great rate. We’re thrilled to be driving an EV, and we appreciate the support from a credit union that aligns with our values for a healthy planet!"

The Role of Ethical Banking in the Fight for Clean Energy: The financial industry has the power to drive change or to stall it. Recent news about the EPA freezing $7 billion in clean energy funds highlights a critical issue. When financial gatekeepers block access to capital, communities suffer. Projects meant to bring solar power, electric trucks, and energy-efficient housing to underserved areas are now at risk. At Clean Energy Credit Union, we believe banking should serve people, not politics. Our CEO, Terri Mickelsen, has spent nearly 40 years in the credit union industry advocating for fair, transparent, and mission-driven finance that does not leave people behind. That is why we have never charged NSF fees, offered payday loans, or prioritized profits over impact. Now more than ever, financial institutions must step up. Ethical banking is not just about avoiding harm. It is about actively enabling solutions. ?? What do you think? How should financial institutions be using their influence to drive clean energy adoption? Let’s start a conversation. #EthicalBanking #CleanEnergyForAll #SustainableFinance #ClimateAction

It's an exciting day over here at Atmos Financial. Today we've announced that we are getting out of the deposit business to 100% focus on accelerating clean energy lending. For those of our customers that wish to come with us, we've partnered with Clean Energy Credit Union to provide us all with banking services and continued 100% clean energy and electrification impact with our deposits. https://lnkd.in/gycf_cke Atmos serves banks, CDFIs, credit unions, and green banks and helps them deploy capital rapidly, responsibly, and cost-effectively into their communities for solar, storage, and electrification. We have a long ways to go to make solar affordable and accessible across the US for homeowners and small businesses, but once we reshape how these projects are financed, we'll be able to force a change in how it is sold —?shrining the two biggest components of upfront costs.

Last week, I had the opportunity to spend the day at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York for the Consumer Finance for Climate Action convening, hosted by Inclusiv and SaverLife. The event brought together mission-driven organizations, financial institutions, and Federal Reserve officials to talk about how we can make clean energy actually work for the communities that need it most. I was there on behalf of Clean Energy Credit Union, where we envision a world where everyone can participate in the clean energy movement. These conversations matter because the transition to clean energy won’t happen if people can’t afford to be part of it. Great discussions, inspiring people, and honestly—still a little surreal to have had a seat at the table at the Fed.

The Intelligent Home: Optimizing Energy with AI and Automation We're witnessing a revolution in how homes consume energy. It's no longer just about turning off lights; it's about intelligent systems that anticipate our needs and optimize energy usage in real-time. Smart home energy management is rapidly becoming a cornerstone of sustainable living, and here's why: AI-Powered Optimization: Advanced systems are now leveraging artificial intelligence to learn homeowners' energy consumption patterns. This allows for automated adjustments to thermostats, lighting, and appliance usage, minimizing waste and maximizing efficiency. Dynamic Energy Response: Smart homes are becoming increasingly responsive to fluctuations in energy demand and supply. Systems can automatically adjust energy consumption during peak hours, reducing strain on the grid and lowering utility bills. Integration of Renewables: Smart home energy management seamlessly integrates with renewable energy sources like solar panels and battery storage. This allows homeowners to maximize the use of self-generated energy and reduce reliance on traditional power grids. Enhanced Monitoring and Control: Homeowners gain unprecedented visibility into their energy consumption through intuitive apps and dashboards. This empowers them to make informed decisions and take proactive steps to reduce their energy footprint. Grid Interactivity: Homes are becoming grid interactive. This means that homes can send energy back to the grid, when excess energy is produced. This is a very important part of future grid stability. According to the International Energy Agency (IEA), "Digitalisation can play a key role in accelerating the transition to a more sustainable and resilient energy system." This highlights the growing importance of smart home energy management in achieving our climate goals. https://lnkd.in/dHYwjUAQ At Clean Energy CU, we recognize the transformative potential of these technologies. We're committed to providing financing solutions that enable our members to embrace smart home energy management and build a more sustainable future. Are you ready to take control of your home's energy consumption? Explore how Clean Energy CU's financing options can help you implement smart home energy management solutions.
