Clean Crop is pleased to announce our collaboration with Diageo through their Sustainable Solutions innovation accelerator to pilot Clean Current technology within their network of over 60,000 smallholder farmers in East Africa, in partnership with their subsidiary, East African Breweries PLC (EABL)! Farmers across Kenya are increasingly challenged by unpredictable weather patterns, including droughts and floods. Our Clean Current technology treats seed surfaces, accelerating germination and enhancing crop resilience in abiotic growing conditions. By improving seed performance, we aim to provide value to farmers operating in regions disproportionately impacted by climate change. This collaboration allows us to pilot Clean Current technology with Diageo’s smallholder farmers network in Kenya, supporting their commitment to advance sustainable technologies across their supply chain, while securing a reliable crop supply that protects our natural resources. Meet Caleb Smith, our 2024 Mechanical Engineer Summer Intern, who recently graduated from the University of Massachusetts Amherst with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering! Caleb began working on innovative #agtech projects in his senior year, starting with his capstone group project to develop a corn monitoring robot. This device gathers data on corn tassel flowering behavior to be used by the Bartlett Agricultural Lab. He also completed his undergraduate honor's thesis on the effects of propeller downwash on agrichemical sprays dispensed from unmanned aerial drones. Fueled by his love for physics and math, Caleb is advancing into the Master’s program for mechanical engineering, and continuing his research in the food science lab. Joining the Clean Crop Technologies, Inc. team for the summer, he was excited to work on projects from design through prototype fabrication on Clean Current machines, gaining valuable hands-on experience and feedback. Outside of engineering, Caleb is an avid cyclist, reader, and cook, always ready to explore new trails, tales, and tastes! #InternSpotlight

The Massachusetts Clean Energy Center estimates that the Commonwealth of Massachusetts alone will need to grow the #cleanenergy workforce by 37% to meet sector demand by 2030. To address this critical workforce development gap in the Pioneer Valley, Clean Crop Technologies, Inc. has been hard at work with Springfield Technical Community College developing an #electromechanical Training Pathway Program. Today, Clean Crop Technologies, Inc. had the special opportunity to host President John B.
