We're looking forward to our next mobile food pantry event on Wednesday, April 2! These monthly events are only made possible through our partnership with Harvesters—The Community Food Network and the hard work of staff and volunteers. We're proud to say that we served 1,734 families in 2024. Not only was food given out, but many times, participants received helpful information, like nutritious recipes and local resources. The goal of our food pantry is to help families in the area live healthier lives by providing free and easy-to-access produce. We hope that, especially in this time of high costs that puts extra pressure on wallets, these items make it a little easier for families to make nutritious meals and snacks. clayhealth.com/pantry

We're excited to announce that our environmental health program was recently recognized by the FDA for going above and beyond for food safety. For the last decade, staff have worked to successfully pass the verification audit and meet all nine Voluntary National Retail Food Regulatory Program Standards. “We want to be the most effective and responsive environmental health program we can be,” said Director of Public Health Darrell Meinke. “The work we’ve done to accomplish these standards will have a positive impact on the health of the people in our community for many years to come. I am extremely proud of our staff, past and present, for their efforts to achieve this recognition.” Read more: https://bit.ly/42uU5Kd
