But time and again, we've seen that technology doesn't eliminate roles—it transforms them. ?? The Introduction of ATMs (1970s and '80s) - Fear: Bank tellers believed ATMs would make their roles obsolete. - Reality: ATMs took over routine transactions, allowing tellers to focus on customer service and complex banking services, enhancing their roles rather than eliminating them. ?? The Luddites and the Industrial Revolution (Early 19th Century) - Fear: Skilled textile workers feared that automated looms and weaving machines would replace them. - Reality: Machines changed the industry but also led to mass production, lower costs, and more jobs in machine maintenance and design. ??     60%+ of recruiters time goes to pre-screening calls and chasing people down. With an overload of candidates, recruiters need to resort to resume filters which can create a lot of selection bias, especially in the blue collar space.
