ClarosTech PFAS destruction process - A Permanent Solution for PFAS Waste CLAROSTECH? is Claros’ proprietary technology that allows for the total destruction of toxic persistent chemicals, including long, short, and ultrashort per- and polyluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), into their natural, basic elements and harmless byproducts. The system is a low-energy process that operates at room temperature and atmospheric pressure. It uses a proprietary photochemical process to reduce PFAS to their constituent elements. The system can be scaled up with low capital and energy costs and can be managed on-site. ClarosTech PFAS destruction is a sustainable and cost-effective alternative to incineration, landfill, and deep well injection. The CLAROSTECH? photochemical system achieves over 99% destruction of all PFAS compounds, including ultrashort chains (C1-C3), in a high throughput system. CLAROS TECHNOLOGIES BENCH TESTING Since 2020, Claros’ Minneapolis ISO-certified laboratory has been performing bench-scale treatability assessments for UV destruction of PFAS, providing proof and concept demonstrations and preliminary design optimization across various waste streams. Bench testing includes a full PFAS liquid chromatography mass spectrometry analysis per the EPA 1633 or ASTM 8421 panel (40 and 44 compounds, respectively) provided by Claros’ in-house PFAS Analytical Laboratory. Non-target analysis, such as Total Organofluorine (TOF) and custom PFAS method development, are available upon request.
