Happy Birthday to our Founder and Co-Chair, Andrea Clarke! Her dedication to her family is only outweighed by her spirit of generosity and goodness towards others. Andrea is a true servant leader whose beautiful heart shines in her roles managing The Labor and Honor Foundation, chairing Stella H. Oaks Foundation, and serving on the Utah Valley University?Board of Trustees, Noorda College of Osteopathic Medicine?Board of Trustees, CharityVision?Board, and so many others! We thank Andrea deeply for all she does for us and for our community, we wish her the happiest of birthdays, and a happy 23rd Anniversary to Andrea and James Clarke!?

#Thanksgiving wasn’t always—but has in recent years become— my favorite holiday for countless reasons. “#Gratitude is not only the greatest of virtues, but the parent of all others.” -Cicero But #Thanksgiving also marks the changing of the seasons from Fall to Winter in a physical sense and the beginning of the Christmas Season—all about celebrating the life of The One, love of our family and caring for our friends. As we pause tomorrow to #GiveThanks for our many blessings surrounded by those we love, I’m so moved with gratitude for the grace and second chances that have been extended to me throughout my life by so many. Each of our lives are immeasurably impacted by those who care deeply enough to lift those around them—especially those who need a second chance above others —the most vulnerable among us. This is Joseph Grenny's beautiful and lasting legacy: bringing those suffering through addiction, homelessness, and criminal behaviors to new lives through The Other Side Academy and The Other Side Village. We hope that you too may find inspiration through this sensational snapshot of Joseph's lifes work in Utah Modern Day Pioneers as written by Tim Stay—another hero who has been working alongside Joseph, rebuilding lives and strengthening communities. In our last FOUR moves as a family, we have engaged The Other Side Moving & Storage / THE OTHER SIDE MOVERS, a business enterprise run by participants of The Other Side Academy. Andrea Clarke and I have found them to be nothing short than the BEST EVER-- working nonstop, eager, always polite. These individuals are making the most of their second chance, and we proudly support their efforts as a family and as a family office. Brandless recently donated household goods to help furnish the first 60 homes opening at The Other Side Village and volunteers from Clearlink will be helping put together furniture. (Thank you, Cathleen Twitchell Holt!) We are all in on Joseph's vision of second chances and accountability. His example of leadership and extraordinary grace is second to none. Our very favorite days are those spent in service to others and shining the light on the vital work of community organizations across our communities. Yesterday, Andrea Clarke and I were overjoyed to spend a full day surrounded by the exceptional leadership and abundant goodness of the Boys and Girls Club of Utah County, Central Utah Enterprises at the Labor and Honor Center, the SCERA, and the Utah Valley Chamber of Commerce, as we worked on several projects that came together in one blessed day. Thank you to Curtis Blair, Steve Hartline, Adam J. Robertson and April Berlin, Scott Johnson and Jenny Ostraff Macfarlane, and their respective PHENOMENAL teams. Thank you to my dear family, as well as my own team members who share our love of service: Drew Clarke, Jayme Budge, Natalie Okeson, Alex Belnap, Denise B. Bird, Chad Paxman, and Halle Clarke. I am grateful to lead a team of individuals who care so deeply for others and realize the true purpose behind our businesses -- Labor & Honor. To work hard and meet high expectations while putting others first: customers, clients, employees, family, and community members.
