We love to build. Clark Contracting Services (CCS) provides expertise in the areas of drywall and finishing, acoustical ceilings, rough and finish carpentry, metal stud framing, millwork, concrete, and specialty installation. Our core management team has over 150 years of experience performing, managing, and estimating self-perform construction work. We are known for installing quality work safely and in a timely manner. We wouldn’t be successful without quality tradespeople. CCS hires and trains the best craftspeople to deliver our portion of the work to the highest standards for our clients. TIMBER! Don't worry, this thing isn't coming down. Clark Contracting Services is showcasing their mass timber expertise with this beautiful Kalamazoo Country Club facility. It's truly a work of art that could turn anyone into a golfing fan. Nate Gabel invited me to use my drone to capture the hard work and skill of this impressive team. Next stop on Sandra Lupien's visit to Kalamazoo last week: the Kalamazoo Country Club ! All three buildings in this expansion will feature #masstimber, and you can already see the #CLT roof panels and #glulam beams and columns going up. Great to see the installers, Clark Contracting Services, in action. We were impressed by the scale of this project and are excited to return for a later phase of construction. We’re excited to share some photos of the Michigan Department of Natural Resources Customer Service Center—the first mass timber structure built with Michigan-sourced wood! Made from locally harvested Michigan red pine, this project highlights the beauty, sustainability, and innovation of mass timber construction. The new center includes a customer service center, field offices, a reception area, and a community meeting room, creating a functional and welcoming space for visitors and staff alike. Exciting Mass Timber Project in Newberry nearing completion. Check it out!
I am always excited to see the progress of This project, but this time traveling to Newberry, MI was super special. The DNR Newberry CSC showcasing use of Mass Timber is near completion! This project successfully used Michigan Red Pine to produce CLT panels for roof and walls construction. The state’a first-ever application of Michigan Red Pine for mass timber construction. This building demonstrates the potential of MI Red Pine as a viable material for mass timber construction expanding the timber options available to the building industry.
