In the aftermath of Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Milton, two of our line crews are headed to Florida to support a mutual aid request to assist with power restoration and system rebuilding. When storms or other major events cause widespread damage and prolonged outages, public power agencies frequently step in to lend a hand through mutual aid. Whether it’s over the county line, down the coast or across the country, utilities support each other’s response and recovery efforts by sending crews and other technical experts to the site of the event. Our crews will be sending us updates as they get to work helping bring the lights back on for families affected by the hurricanes.
