Looking for input from Las #Vegas and #ClarkCounty residents to help improve housing and address other community needs. Clark County is working to update its 5 year Consolidated Plan. The plan guides the service, housing and investments for our U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development federally funded programs including: The Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) The HOME Investment Partnership Act (HOME) The Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) The ConPlan is important because it's an outline of how federal funding will be used to focus on the needs of our community for the next 5 years. @F1 and Clark County have again partnered to re-launch a weekly SMS text update system to provide residents with easy access to real-time information in preparation for the 2024 race. Residents are encouraged to opt-in to the service by texting F1LV to 31996. #Tropicana Implosion Our #ClarkCounty Commissioner Jim Gibson who is also a Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority - LVCVA board member was among the many on the Las #Vegas Strip witnessing the farewell of the Trop. The implosion begins the redevelopment process of the historic site for the A's ballpark and a Bally's Corporation Resort. The Tropicana first opened in 1957 and closed in early April after 67 years as a cornerstone on the south end of the Strip.
