A big shoutout to our most recent DoD-SkillBridge Veteran Intern, Alex Layman, on a job well done! Over the last several months, Alex has been a valuable asset to our entire team at Claritas. Our day-to-day looks quite different from his previous life as a Special Ops Pilot (yes, that's him flying a helicopter!), but he jumped in and made great contributions to our team from the start. We are proud to share that Alex is headed up to Cambridge to join the Harvard Business School class of 2027 and we look forward to seeing all that his bright future holds. Please join us in congratulating Alex on his next steps and thanking him for his service!

We are so PROUD to announce that our Managing Partner, Theresa Sexton, has been recognized as one of Nashville Business Journal's Women of Influence in 2025! Nominated within the category of Inspiration / Mentor, Theresa has long been recognized by her peers as a great advocate and champion for women. In 2024, Theresa formalized the Claritas Athena Initiative, which delivers capital to female founders, unlocks investment opportunities, propels fellow women forward in their careers, and more. Congratulations to our favorite Special Ops veteran, John Gordon, on a well-deserved promotion to Principal at Claritas Capital. Known more commonly in our office as JG, he is an integral part of our investment team, working closely with our portfolio companies to optimize performance and find creative pathways to successful exits. Additionally, John leads our DoD-SkillBridge Internship Program, allowing us to partner with service members transitioning out of active duty and pursuing their next chapter. We are proud to have JG on the team and look forward to all that he will accomplish in his expanded role as Principal.
