We strive for this level of care and dedication in everything we do.” - IDSO President, Jordan Barnes #ARRRGH Interior Design Student Organization (IDSO) recently gathered design students for a tour of the nearly-complete Hilton Garden Inn, on Evans Street in Uptown Greenville. In 2021, an #ECU senior studio class worked with the developer, Clarendon Properties, to develop layouts, furniture and finish palettes for the public spaces of this hotel. Ms. Wallace, a Vice President at Clarendon who worked with the students back in 2021, reached out to suggest that some students come by to see the final installation of the spaces. Students were hosted on the tour by Ms. Wallace along with Mr. Michael Gorum of Centerpointe Construction Corp., Ms. Kewanda Lindsey, Director of Housekeeping, Mr. Jon Schatz, Food & Beverage Director, Ms. Michelle Lodge, Director of Sales, and Mr. Brett Morgan, the hotel’s General Manager (and a Pirate himself!). The tour was an eye-opener, showing how complex it is to assemble all the various components of the spaces into a seamless experience. The entire Hilton team stressed how the focus for this property is to create a welcoming venue for #Pirates, either visitors or Greenville residents. Mr. Schatz prepared delicious hors d’oeuvres to cap off our visit to the 8th floor bar and restaurant, which will serve breakfast and full dinners. Thank you to this amazing team for allowing our students to engage and be a part of this new venue! #TheHHPExperience
