Big news from our client PediaTrust LLC! The day care facility for medically fragile children offers services including personalized care, an educational curriculum, physical and occupational therapy and many other services for families in need. This critical need expansion will grow the company's roster to six facilities across Louisiana and Mississippi and increase its footprint in the Capitol Region to two locations. We are proud to have played a role in this process and want to with the entire team congratulations and continued success!

Recently firm client Pediatrust Pediatric Daycare had the honor of hosting Louisiana Department of Health Secretary?Michael Harrington and LDH Executive Counsel Nick Gachassin at their Livingston Parish clinic. PediaTrust provides skilled nursing services to medically fragile children who cannot attend a regular daycare. Each child has the opportunity to interact with other children while receiving the highest level of nursing care. Their facilities offer physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy and an educational curriculum. They also provide transportation to and from our facility. We are proud to represent a provider of such a noble cause and calling.

Firm partner, Norby Chabert, testified alongside bill author, Representative Beryl Amedee, on behalf of our client, Télé-Louisiane, in House Education Committee. HB 583 provides for school choice with respect to foreign language immersion. The bill passed the House Floor with a vote of 99 yays and 0 nays, and it is currently pending Senate Education Committee.

On April 24, 2024, our firm had the pleasure of hosting “Renewable Day” at the Louisiana State Capitol on behalf of our client, Southern Renewable Energy Association. We first met with the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Philip DeVillier, and the President of the Senate, Cameron Henry, to discuss the State’s goals and opportunities in the renewable energy sector. Then, the Secretary of the Department of Natural Resources, Tyler Gray, and executive counsel, Blake Canfield, hosted a regulation and policy Q&A with our members.?Our firm would like to extend its gratitude to all of our guest speakers and attendees who made this year’s Renewable Day such a success!
