On Sunday, a fire broke out at the BioLab chemical plant in Conyers, GA, sparking evacuations and road closures after a sprinkler malfunction led to a huge chemical plume. Smoke from the fire was visible up to 30 miles away, and Interstate 20 was shut down in both directions. Luckily, no injuries have been reported, and all employees are safe. Crews are working to contain the chemicals and monitor the air quality, but schools are closed, and residents are still waiting for the all-clear. 💡 Why Care? This kind of incident can throw a wrench into transportation routes, with shutdowns like I-20 impacting deliveries and freight costs. Plus, air quality hazards mean safety concerns for your drivers and teams... 👉 Read more at AP News: https://lnkd.in/gtPs9PF9

Good morning! ☀️ It’s time to fasten those seat belts because today's supply chain ride is anything but smooth. 👉 European steelmakers are waving the red flag, begging trade officials to stop the flood of dirt-cheap Chinese steel that’s sinking prices faster than your favorite stock last month. 👉 Meanwhile, logistics giants like FedEx and UPS—and even retailers like SHEIN and Temu—are bracing for big changes. 👉 And, in case you weren’t already on high alert, recent attacks on Hezbollah-linked wireless devices have thrown a major spotlight on supply chain vulnerabilities.

Good morning! ☀️ It’s a busy day in supply chain land, so grab your coffee—you're going to need it! 👉 First up, businesses are bracing for a possible strike at 36 U.S. ports (just in time for Election Day) that could turn your shipments into a logistical game of hide-and-seek. 👉 Meanwhile, Boeing's strike is heating up over pensions lost in 2014, proving that what’s old is new again—but unfortunately, it’s not back on the bargaining table yet. 👉 And to round things out, the Fed’s inflation gauge barely moved in August, showing a 0.1% rise—just enough to remind us that inflation's not done with us yet. Get ready, folks—things are about to get interesting!

Good morning! ☀️ Welcome to The Workday Dash—where your logistics news moves faster than a last-mile delivery! Who needs the middleman when you’ve got de minimis magic? 👉 Things are heating up at East and Gulf Coast ports with the first potential dock strike in decades. Better buckle up for some choppy waters ahead! 👉 Apple just dropped more than a new iPhone—its shares dipped 3% as folks aren't rushing to grab the iPhone 16 Pro. Apparently, AI isn’t that much of a selling point… yet. Stay tuned for more supply chain drama. 😎

Today’s supply chain news is coming in hot like a fresh cup of jet fuel (or maybe just formate, thanks to Tokyo Metropolitan Public University Corporation researchers who’ve turned carbon capture into a green powerhouse). Meanwhile, over at Amazon, the WFH days are numbered. Starting January 2025, it's back to 5 days a week in the office—because apparently, those Zoom calls just don't hit the same as face-to-face "collabs." And Boeing? Well, they’re stuck on the tarmac as over 30,000 union workers strike, grounding 737 production and pushing execs to freeze hiring and consider furloughs. Looks like turbulence ahead in more ways than one! Let's dash into it.
