BioSpace has again named Civica Rx a “Best Place to Work.” Civica is recognized in part for its emphasis on culture, leadership and innovation. “A talented team doing what is in the best interest of patients is the foundation of our culture and our collaborative, nonprofit organization is a model for innovation,” said Civica’s President and CEO Ned McCoy. “Congratulations to the entire Civica team. I’m so proud of all we have accomplished together as we work to make quality, essential medications available and affordable to everyone,” said McCoy. “We continue to grow our impact – to date providing nearly 200 million units of quality generic medicines that have historically been in short supply, enough to help treat nearly 90 million patients at our member hospitals,” he added. Civica’s nonprofit “health care utility” model is also being applied, via CivicaScript to lower drug costs for consumers at the pharmacy counter. One of the first medications CivicaScript tackled was a medication for prostate cancer. Other medications are in the pipeline, including Civica insulin, which will be available to consumers at affordable – and unprecedented – prices. BioSpace is a digital hub for timely life science news and jobs. We are honored to receive this important recognition!

关于我们
Civica Rx was created in late 2018 to secure the supply of important medicines hospitals use every day. As of Q2 2024, we have provided over 180 million units of essential medicines to hospitals, enough to help treat over 80 million patients. Recently, we announced we will manufacture and distribute affordable medications for consumers in an outpatient/retail setting, including affordable insulin. Insulin is an exciting project as we are partnering with nearly every corner of the diabetes ecosystem to bring low-cost insulin to people living with diabetes at no more than $30 a vial and no more than $55 for a pack of five pre-filled pens, regardless of insurance status. WHY CIVICA? Because patients should have the essential medicines they need when they need them. As a rapidly growing, entrepreneurial, nonprofit generic drug company our mission is to ensure quality generic medicines are accessible and affordable to everyone.

We’re thrilled that CivicaScript member Navitus Health Solutions has established a scholarship in the name of our new president, Brent Eberle. Brent spent more than two decades at Navitus, most recently as Chief Pharmacy Officer. He joined CivicaScript earlier this month, taking the lead as we prepare to launch new, lower-cost generic medicines in the coming year. The new scholarship was created at Brent’s alma mater, the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Pharmacy, honoring his “exceptional leadership and his contributions to the pharmaceutical field.” Congratulations, Brent – we are so proud to have you at the helm as we work to make quality generic medicines affordable and available to everyone.
Today, we celebrate our former Chief Pharmacy Officer, Brent Eberle, and his incredible 20+ year journey at Navitus. As one of our first five employees, Brent helped build Navitus from the ground up, from our very first member to 14+ million members across the nation. In honor of his lasting impact on our organization and decades of incredible service to our industry, we’ve established a scholarship in Brent’s name at his alma mater, the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Pharmacy. This scholarship honors Brent’s exceptional leadership and his contributions to the pharmaceutical field, and it ensures his work with the school and its students will be recognized for years to come. As he transitions to his new role as President of CivicaScript, we all look forward to the amazing things he’ll accomplish next. Please join us in wishing Brent the best of luck.
