Some more moments from our Center for Sustainable Careers Job Fair last week! Beautifully captured by our Associate Director of YouthBuild and AmeriCorps, James Winfield ?? With the help of this engaging Job Fair all seven of our students from this past training cohort were given job offers! Let’s give them a huge round of applause! ?? Thank you again to our employer partners who participated, providing our trainees with this invaluable opportunity.

This afternoon, we celebrated our first Baltimore Gas and Electric?Workforce Collaborative program graduation of 2025! The ceremony featured moving speeches from members of Civic Works’ Center for Sustainable Careers, Khartoum Clark - BGE’s Senior Manager of Gas Construction & Maintenance, and Azaziah Forrest - our graduate representative speaker. The event was filled with pride, mutual support, and admiration. Congratulations to these graduates, not only for completing their training program but also for being placed for jobs even before graduation. A special thank you to our team and employer partners for supporting our trainees, and to Whiting-Turner for hosting the graduation at their office. We look forward to a year filled with even more success stories to come! ??

This afternoon our Center for Sustainable Careers program held their first Utility & Infrastructure job fair of the year! We hosted 8 employer partners who engaged with 40 of our students. Students learned more about their perspective careers, important on the job skills, the job application process, built connections and more. We can’t wait to see what they achieve this year and beyond! Thank you to our amazing employer partners for joining us! Your support helps create life-changing career opportunities for the talented graduates of our workforce program.
