Katherine Fayad is the electric force behind Campus Bridging Initiative -- our urban/rural bridge-building program for college students. Over the past six months, Katie has moved heaven and earth to forge partnerships, hammer out logistics, and launch best-in-class programming that moves dialogue into action. We’re psyched to partner in #CivicLearningWeek, March 10–14, as we energize the movement for civic education across the nation. As a CLW partner, Civic Bridgers is hosting an immersive urban-rural immersion program for college students -- because civics extends far beyond the voting booth to engagement in one’s community, volunteering, participating in group activities, serving in the military, building knowledge on important issues, and more. During our program, students build skills in civic leadership, intercultural communication, and problem-solving while collaborating on projects to rewrite the narrative of urban-rural division.
