I will be hosting a panel on Path to Market for Regeneration: coordinating markets for regenerative and organic agriculture. How do we stop putting all the risk to regenerate on the farmers? How do we rehumanize supply chains? How do we build systems that will honor premiums for farmers? How do we develop markets for diversity on farms? How do we move beyond "bushel per acre, dollars per bushel" as the design imperative in agriculture? It is going to be so AWESOME!!! We will unpack all of this and more, so this will be a 2- hour session so that we can really dig deep. I will be joined by some very inspiring folks from our region including: Tobe Finch at Happy Day Restaurants, Amanda Martinez of ClimateChain?, Brent Uhlorn of Uhlorn Famly Farms, David Stelzer of Azure Standard and Christopher Schachtschneider Lightning S Livestock Solutions. Of course we will also be discussing the role of value-added processing in developing a truly regenerative food system and how both private and public sector are leaning in to help finance this critical piece of the puzzle.
