Cityview’s Global Head of Capital Development and Strategy, Christoph Donner, attended the recent MIPIM conference in Cannes. His takeaways? ? MIPIM continues to be THE important meeting place for global executives to set the tone for the year. ? Many international players are still working through portfolio challenges and adapting to the volatility in the market. The mood was energetic, although not as optimistic or euphoric as in previous years. Overall, market participants are ready to move and take advantage of opportunities or disposing of assets that have limited recovery potential. ? The U.S. remains a favorite place to invest for global capital. Among property types, multifamily continues to be one of the most desired asset class across all markets. In particular, the correction/pause in the Sunbelt and other growth areas in the country provides buying opportunities, while supply constrained markets are seen to be attractive given positive long-term outlook. This was Cityview’s first MIPIM but likely not our last! This week, Christoph, CEO Sean Burton and Managing Director of Investor Relations Jennifer Halvas are off to meet with our partners at PENSION REAL ESTATE ASSOCIATION (PREA) in Dallas. #MIPIM Claire Fraser

Today’s multifamily market offers a compelling case for investment. The combination of housing shortages, high mortgage rates, market distress, and inflation protection creates a rare window of opportunity for investors to secure assets at a discount with significant upside potential and a degree of downside protection. Sean Burton and Ryan Graf share why multifamily assets can potentially generate strong risk-adjusted returns in today’s economic climate in @Real Assets Adviser. https://lnkd.in/gXxntVt3

We’re making great progress at Apollo, Cityview and Stockbridge's 265-unit project in Los Angeles’ South Bay. We recently completed the roofing and installed the windows and solar panels. Next up for the exterior work is the installation of deck waterproofing, metal and glass rails, lath, plaster and cement siding. “We’ve been preparing to significantly scale the firm and believe the next few years will be strong vintage years for real estate based on the current market dislocation, ability to buy at deep discounts to replacement cost and lack of new supply being built.” - Sean Burton Read what’s next for Cityview as we continue to scale our capital raising and investment platforms and bring on Christoph Donner as Principal and Global Head of Capital Development and Strategy.
