“I was homeless and in active addiction. I started using drugs when I was 13 years old, and progressively my addiction became worse. My family wanted nothing to do with me. I eventually lost everything that mattered most to me... CityTeam Heritage Home has given me a second chance at life, allowing me to become a better mother to my children and a better sister to my siblings. I am currently aiming to become a drug and alcohol counselor. Today, I have healthy relationships with the people I love the most. I have a strong support system on which I can depend. From my time at CityTeam, God has shaped me into a person of forgiveness, responsibility, integrity, love, having a servant's heart... But it doesn’t stop here. As we all know, life-restoration isn’t a destination; it has to be a lifestyle. But today, graduation is a milestone that shows me that recovery is possible. If I compare my life back then to how my life is today, it’s safe to say that with God, anything is possible.
