Wilmington is strategically located approximately mid-point between New York & Washington, DC. Philadelphia's International Airport, the Greater Wilmington Airport, and Amtrak's main east coast line provide national & international accessibility. Three major interstate highways, excellent state highways, and scenic U.S. routes link Wilmington to the entire east coast. One third of the nation's population & income is within a 350 mile radius of the City. Wilmington is home to more than 72,000 people of diverse backgrounds. Wilmington is often referred to as the "corporate capital of the world". Over half of the Fortune 500 companies call Wilmington their corporate home. The unique synergism that exists between government, business and labor has successfully addressed the issue of infrastructure rebuilding, leading the City to its position as financial, governmental and corporate hub of the State and region.

February is a time to celebrate the rich history, achievements, and contributions of African Americans in Wilmington, the state of Delaware, and beyond. It’s also a moment to reflect on the progress we’ve made as a nation while recognizing the work that still lies ahead. This month, I look forward to honoring Black history, uplifting voices, and embracing the lessons that continue to shape our collective future. - Mayor John Carney

Buccini Pollin Group, in partnership with ResideBPG and BPGS Construction is proud to celebrate the official grand opening of our newest multifamily community Humble Park Place! Located at 2 W 4th St, Humble Park Place brings 61 one and two-bed apartment homes to Downtown Wilmington and reactivates the dormant corner of Lower Market Street. The grand opening also signifies the continued progress of the revitalization movement on Lower Market Street to strengthen the connection between Downtown and the Riverfront. “I couldn’t be prouder of the final product delivered here today at Humble Park Place thanks to all of our incredible partners, associates, and City of Wilmington officials,” said Rob Buccini. “The architecture is a stunning transformation of the previously underutilized corner on Market Street and compliments the previous work we’ve completed on Lower Market Street at 6 East 3rd Street, The Cooper, and Lincoln Square to maintain historic beauty in this part of the city.” Humble Park Place would not have been possible without the commitment and support of all project partners including the many City of Wilmington departments, Mid Penn Bank, DIGSAU Architects, neighboring Delaware Technical Community College, BPGS Construction, and ResideBPG.
