DOWNTOWN POCKET PARK PROJECT UPDATE: The walls are nearing completion, and once finished, the contractor will move on to the underground utility work, followed by surface improvements. If the weather cooperates, the project is on track to be completed by the end of November. The Downtown Pocket Park will serve as a welcoming space for community members to meet, relax, and enjoy downtown. We’re excited to see this project come to life and can’t wait to share it with you soon! Stay tuned for more updates!
关于我们
The City of Wadsworth is one of the fastest-growing communities in Northeast Ohio, and it’s no secret why! It offers the quaintness of a small town, coupled with the sophistication of a community that is progressive enough to offer its own municipally-owned electric utility and high-speed internet and cable services. With our vibrant and Historic Downtown, excellent schools, beautiful parks, exciting community events, progressive public services, and overall charm, more and more people are finding reasons to live, work, and play in Wadsworth. The City is a delightful mix of families who have been part of the community for several generations, younger families who have chosen to “move back home” to Wadsworth, and new families who have only recently discovered this special city. Tammy Reddish, Activity/Volunteer Coordinator at the Soprema Senior Center (SCC), has been selected as the October Wadsworth City Employee of the Month. Tammy helps make a difference in the lives of thousands of seniors in the community. In the two years that she has been with the senior center, she has played a vital role in expanding the programming well beyond what was done in our history! She looks for creative and innovative opportunities to meet the needs of the rapidly growing senior population, enhancing their lives. Tammy stepped in after COVID-19 and has quickly grown the senior volunteer base. This helps the small staff of only three serve the record number of seniors coming through the doors and provides a meaningful purpose for many senior citizens. Tammy analyzes our senior membership's skill sets and talents and is adept at creating outcomes that enhance and benefit the SSC (and the volunteer, too)! She is willing to go the extra mile and is eager to accomplish goals. Her positivity, compassion, and wisdom inspire and help Wadsworth senior citizens daily. Her leadership, ideas, and passion for her work motivate collaborating professionals. Tammy plays a vital role in the success of the Soprema Senior Center, and the City of Wadsworth congratulates her! #CityofWadsworth #ACommunityUnmatched
