As part of the City's ongoing partnership with the Academies of Shakopee, Shakopee firefighter Mason Runyan and Senior Planner Kyle Sobota visited Mr. Vaughn's class this week to give presentations on what firefighters and city planners do and how they work together to help ensure public safety. Afterward, they reviewed student designs for city layouts and provided insight.

City services are provided by a staff of 150 full-time, 200 part-time and more than 300 seasonal employees.
