?? At Monday night's City Commission meeting the Mayor and Commission recognized Librarian I Katie Taylor on 5 years of service with the City of Safety Harbor. ?? Katie began working with the Safety Harbor Public Library as a part-time Library Assistant II working with adults. Later, she became a full-time Librarian I in the the Youth Department working with teens. She works with Bright Futures volunteers, has rearranged the teen area to make it more inviting and user-friendly, as well as, maintains the comfort cabinet for teens get needed items for free. ?? Thank you, Katie, for 5 years of service and dedication to the City of Safety Harbor!

?? At last night's City Commission meeting, the Mayor and Commission recognized Recreation Supervisor Christine McWilliams on 25 years of service with the City of Safety Harbor. ?? Christine started her career with the City in the Leisure Services Department, then worked in the Finance Department, before coming back to Leisure Services. Her passion for recreation and arts is apparent in everything she does - from teaching art classes, coordinating camps for youth and classes for all ages, to coordinating the City Galleries. ?? Thank you, Christine, for 25 years of service and dedication to the City of Safety Harbor!

The City of Safety Harbor will be closed on Monday, January 20, 2025, for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. Safety Harbor Fitness Center will be open regular hours, 6:00 AM - 8:00 PM. Monday's Garbage and Yard Waste collection will happen as usual.

Julio Rangel completed his internship with the City’s Engineering Department from September 24 through December 5, 2024, as part of the Executive Internship Program through Pinellas County Schools. ???? Dr. Mary Black has served for 31 years as the Program Coordinator for the Pinellas County Executive Internship Program, in partnership with the City of Safety Harbor. ??
