Our MLT Police Dept is proud to announce new officer, Valensce Ostrovkin, who was officially sworn-in this morning (11/19) at our civic campus. Officer Ostrovkin is a certified EMT and currently enlisted in the Army National Guard as a combat medic sergeant. He served two years as a Police Officer for the City of Seattle. Born and raised in WA, Valensce likes to hike, snowboard, and spend time with his family.

Today, we welcome our new Communications and Community Engagement Manager, Sienna Spencer-Markles.??She comes to us with a wealth of experience serving as a public relations professional support public agencies, as PIO for LA County Public Health during the pandemic, as a tourism and marketing professional, and most recently as a communications manager for a local city.??We are excited to work with Sienna on communicating to our stakeholders!

Founded in 1998, Leadership Snohomish County (LSC) is a local nonprofit committed to county-specific leadership development.?Each year LSC honors distinguished people within our community for various initiatives and accomplishments including the Distinguished Alumni Award. The recipient of the LSC Distinguished Alumni Award must be a leader among leaders and an individual that is making a difference in Snohomish County to create a stronger community for us all to work and live.?Our own Mountlake Terrace Council member Dr. Steve Woodard earned the Distinguished Alumni Award for 2024!?Congratulations Council member Woodard!
