关于我们
A relatively small city of 7 square miles and 60,000 residents, Lancaster City is located within driving distance of Washington DC, Baltimore, Philadelphia, New York, Delaware beaches and the Jersey shore. But the City of Lancaster is about so much more than our geographic location. Lancaster City is a place where historic preservation and a cutting-edge arts scene live and thrive side by side; a city of neighborhoods that are safe and welcoming; a city that encourages entrepreneurship and investment; a city that values the cultural, ethnic, and diverse identities of our residents and guests.

Church Street neighbors are invited to join a public meeting on the final concept design for the Church Street Improvement Project (focused on traffic/pedestrian safety) on Wednesday, October 9 at the Church Street Tower Community Room, 333 Church St. Design concepts will be available for public review beginning at 5:30pm, with a presentation to follow at 6pm. This plan will narrow Church Street from three to two vehicular travel lanes, while maintaining parking on both sides of the street. A shared use path for pedestrians and bicyclists will run along the north/west side of the street, separated from vehicular traffic by parking and a tree lawn. Two new crosswalks are being added at South Christian Street and between Duke and Lime/Vine. Crosswalk alignments are being shifted at Duke and Church Streets. Significant pedestrian and bicycle improvements are being made at the intersections of Queen/Church/Conestoga and Church/Vine/Lime. You can learn more about the project at https://lnkd.in/dXwfNNZr #cityoflancasterpa #visionzerolanc
