"It's like a family reunion," said Mayor Knox White as he raised a glass to 20 years of Falls Park and the people who made it possible. Guests at the anniversary celebration included Liberty Bridge designer Miguel Rosales, master planner and landscape architect Andrea Mains, and Carolina Foothills Garden Club members who worked the land and the fund raising circuits. Hear their reflections on their first visit to #GreenvilleSC and its two decade transformation.

Wheels up #GreenvilleSC. Plans for a skate park and pump track are preparing for take off at the Greenville Downtown Airport (GMU) in South Carolina. This week City Council approved a lease agreement for the location. Next we'll look for an engineering firm to gather public input and help design a "wheel park" for people of all ages and all skill levels.

?? And the crowd goes wild... for Shriners Children’s Greenville! Greenville Police Department and Greenville City Fire Department swung for the fences in the 4th Annual Heroes Softball Game hosted by the GREENVILLE DRIVE, LLC. While GPD may have had more runs, the real home run was raising $5,391 for children in need of specialty pediatric care. It's a short stroll from Falls Park past the Grand Bohemian and across the bridge over Church Street. It's small, but certain to bring color to your day and a smile to your face. ??

We're PUMPED. City Council approved a ground lease agreement with the Greenville Downtown Airport Commission to construct a skatepark and pump track on 10+ acres. "We have been looking for a location for years," said Mayor Knox White. "Since the airport is already in the recreation business this became the perfect partnership." "This is a win-win for the airport and the small businesses that surround it," said Councilor Dorothy Dowe. "It will provide a safer connection from the Green Line extension of the Prisma Health Swamp Rabbit Trail to Runway Park, drawing more people to the airport and the restaurants and amenities in the area."
