?? MURAL MONDAY ??? In 2018, a set of murals titled "Masks of Comedy and Tragedy" were created in the City of De Pere. Located at 123 S Broadway, these murals provide a bright pop of color in our downtown year-round. The murals depict iconic representations in theater and were created by Andrew Linskens. Notably, the "comedy" end is slightly larger than that of "tragedy" as the artist's reminder that good will always prevail. ???

Flom will succeed Larry Delo, who is retiring after 21 years of devoted service to the community. She currently serves as the Assistant City Manager for the City of McKinney, Texas, since January 2020, where she is responsible for 231 employees in several departments, including Development Services (Engineering, Planning, Code & Building), Housing and Community Development, and the Library System, with a combined annual operating budget of $26.4 million, a housing and transit budget of $3 million, and a capital budget of $849 million. She makes frequent appearances before special interest groups, businesses, community leaders, and other elected officials and service organizations. Flom was previously the Development Services Director for the City of De Pere from 2015–2019, where she collaborated with the City Administrator and Common Council on policy direction and implementation. She also provided project management for the De Pere Visioning and Branding initiative. She was responsible for business park property sales and TIF negotiations, resulting in over $25 million in private investment. Her prior experience includes serving as the Planning & Community Development Director for the City of Green Bay from 2014–2015 and the Development Services Assistant Director for the Village of Orland Park, Illinois, from 2011–2014. Flom’s extensive background and strategic leadership abilities make her an exemplary choice to navigate the complexities and opportunities facing the City of De Pere. “We are excited to welcome Kimberly Flom back to the City of De Pere and look forward to the fresh perspectives she will bring to our beloved community,” said Mayor James Boyd. “Her strong leadership skills and deep understanding of our City’s values make her a perfect fit to guide us into the future, and I am confident she will continue to foster the growth, values, and vitality that make our community special.” For more information on the City of De Pere, visit www.deperewi.gov. ###
