With 29 approved loans and over 100,000 square feet of vacant space reactivated, we’d say First Floor Fund’s second birthday is one worth celebrating. These entrepreneurs opened salons, restaurants, bakeries, wine bars, cigar bars, clothing stores, and so much more. Of the 29 approved loans, 21 supported women and minority owned businesses. Welcome to Dayton! Diné Development Corporation, a Navajo Nation-owned IT enterprise, celebrated the opening of its new technology center/offices on East Monument Street on a very sunny Thursday morning. The beautiful Dayton location is the newest of 30 across the country and will be home base for up to 250 jobs. The building features Navajo Nation artifacts and will house an even larger collection in the months ahead. Mayor Jeffrey Mims and Gov. Mike DeWine joined in the ribbon-cutting. City partners JobsOhio, Dayton Development Coalition and Montgomery County, Ohio (OH) were on hand to celebrate. #DowntownDayton #TechnologyHub #NavajoCodeTalkers

Third St. The $5.5 million structure is on the grounds of the historic Wright Factory and is funded by the Dayton Recovery Plan.
