Winter weather is here, and the City of Cleveland is ready! We visited Hopkins to see how their team ensures flights take off and land safely during the snowy months.

Maurice’s story shows how hard work and opportunities from President Biden’s Investing in America agenda are creating better lives for families. Programs like Cleveland Builds, supported by the American Rescue Plan, connect many in Cleveland to good-paying union jobs in skilled trades.

On Saturday, we celebrated the ribbon cutting of the new Impett Park playground! This project, supported by American Rescue Plan funding, showcases how the community and City Hall can collaborate to create a better Cleveland!

Today is World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims. Tragically, more than 70 people have died in traffic crashes in Cleveland so far this year, outpacing the fatal crash rate from previous years. Over the last few years, the City has received over $10 million in grants to improve road safety. While we work to get those improvements out on the streets, we are also rolling out quick-build traffic calming designs including speed tables, centerline hardening, delineated curb extensions, and crosswalk enhancements like pedestrian hybrid beacons. The City of Cleveland is proud to celebrate America Recycles Day, a day dedicated to promoting the benefits of recycling in reducing waste, saving energy, and conserving resources!
