To continue our February Vendor of the Month Spotlight on City Wide Paving Inc., the Office of Minority and Women Business Development wishes to recognize this business for their extraordinary commitment to community service. We asked City Wide Paving's Vice President Andrew Ohab to share what giving back to the Indianapolis community means to him, his coworkers, and CWP as a collective. He stated, "We are proud to contribute to the ongoing development of our city. Our commitment goes beyond just infrastructure projects – we are dedicated to providing opportunities for the next generation and giving back to our community". City Wide Paving actively seeks local partnerships that align with this goal. Last year, they participated in Area 31 Career Center’s Next Steps and Partnership Days, where they met with high school students interested in pursuing the trades to teach them about the paving industry and offer summer internships and jobs. City Wide Paving's participation in Area 31 is aimed at strengthening our city's future workforce and connecting local businesses with young talent. Additionally, City Wide Paving is a member of the Indiana Apartment Association, where they work with apartment investors and businesses to improve apartment quality and maintenance across the state. Beyond their industry, City Wide Paving remains committed to supporting local community organizations such as the Wheeler Mission, Gleaners, Special Olympics, Indiana Sheriffs’ Association, Hear Indiana, and Toys for Tots. We are honored to have City Wide Paving as our Vendor of the Month because of their commitment to building a better Indianapolis in every possible realm of development. The business was purchased by Fyzal Ohab in 1997, who was inspired by his guiding principle of “going the extra mile” for their clientele. In the following decades, City Wide Paving has gone above and beyond this fundamental goal by providing their customers with extraordinary service and high attention to detail in every project. Their services include but are not limited to: asphalt paving and resurfacing, concrete sidewalks and driveways, seal coats, and winter treatment services for snow and ice. City Wide Paving’s dedication to project quality and customer service continues to have a lasting influence on the landscape of our great city as a leading example of excellence in business and craftsmanship. CWP’s positive impact in the Indianapolis community is not limited to its infrastructure work. The business works closely with several philanthropic and community-based organizations seeking to support public health initiatives. City Wide Paving supports organizations such as Hear Indiana, Wheeler Mission, and several schools to promote positive social determinants of health in the Indianapolis community and beyond.
