Since this week is Source Water Protection Week, let's take a moment to reflect on the vital role our water sources play in keeping our communities thriving. Clean water starts at the source, whether it’s our rivers, lakes, or underground wells. By safeguarding these natural reservoirs, we make it easier (and less expensive!) to keep water safe and healthy at the tap. Here’s how you can help: ?? Reduce Pollution: Dispose of household chemicals, pesticides, and waste properly to prevent contamination. ?? Conserve Water: Fix leaks, use water-efficient appliances, and be mindful of water use. Every drop makes a difference! ?? Get Involved: Support local initiatives and organizations dedicated to protecting our water sources. ?? Spread the Word: Share the importance of source water protection with friends and family. Together, we can ensure clean, safe water for future generations. Let’s protect this resource, one drop at a time! #ProtectTheSource #SourceWaterProtectionWeek

Take a moment to relax with a peaceful view of Fellows Lake. ?? Sometimes we all need a little brain break, and what better way than to enjoy the beauty of one of our local water sources? Remember, protecting these serene environments helps ensure clean, high-quality drinking water for all of us. #SourceWaterProtectionWeek

We’ve received multiple reports of customers getting calls claiming their service is disconnected or will be disconnected soon. In some cases, these calls are going to people who aren’t even City Utilities customers. While the scammers may not always ask for money directly, they’re providing an 800 number for payment. Please remember: City Utilities will never demand immediate payment over the phone. If you receive a suspicious call or are ever unsure about a situation, please hang up and call our offices at (417) 863-9000 and we would be happy to verify it for you.
