The City Rescue Mission (CRM) is a privately funded, not-for-profit Christian organization that has continuously provided help to the homeless and needy in Jacksonville and Northeast Florida since 1946. CRM was established by a group of Christian businessmen who saw a need to help alcoholics in the Jacksonville area. Their goal at the time (1946) was to offer “soup, soap and salvation”. The original mission has evolved into a privately funded organization whose mission is to serve the homeless and needy through the love and compassion of Jesus Christ. In addition to CRM's emergency overnight shelter and food services, CRM also offers the LifeBuilders Program. LifeBuilders is a Bible-based, residential, transformation program and is Jacksonville’s only non-denominational Christian, long-term residential recovery program. Participants in the LifeBuilders Program live at the McDuff campus for approximately 18 months, making a commitment to abide by all requirements which will ultimately enable them to rediscover how to care for themselves and their families.

?? Congratulations to Jaime Williams, our Director of Social Services, for being honored by Soul Winners Connection! Jaime’s journey with City Rescue Mission began in 1998 as Assistant Store Manager at our thrift store. Her hard work and dedication led her through several roles—Case Manager, Supervisor, Manager, and today, Director of Social Services. With a Master’s in Public Administration, and extensive training in areas like human trafficking and de-escalation, Jaime's talent, energy, and love is such an enrichment to CRM. Soul Winners Connection, recognizing Jaime’s commitment, is a powerful force in our community. Their initiatives, like Operation Stash and the Workforce Development Project, support the elderly, differently-abled, and others in need through stipends, job opportunities, coaching, and networking. Their "It’s My Time to Shine" program helps individuals gain the skills, resources, and connections needed to build financially sustainable futures. ???? Honoring Our Veterans This Veterans Day! Today, City Rescue Mission honors the bravery, dedication, and sacrifices of our veterans. As we reflect on their service, we recognize that many face significant challenges upon returning home. In 2012, veterans represented 7% of America’s homeless population—a statistic that reminds us of the battles they continue to face after their service ends. Here in Jacksonville, many of the individuals we serve are veterans who struggle with homelessness, addiction, or poverty. Florida has one of the highest homeless populations in the nation, impacting our neighbors, friends, and community members.
