Meet Chris. After a long road battling addiction, Christopher reached a dead end as he experienced homelessness and hopelessness. At the Mission, with the loving guidance of the Gospel, practical life-building skills and the encouragement of community support, he’s now walking with God on a journey to a better life. ___ City Rescue Mission (CRM) is dedicated to providing housing, one-on-one counseling, career services, addiction recovery, spiritual mentorship and so much more for needy individuals in Jacksonville and beyond. The City Rescue Mission (CRM) is a privately funded, not-for-profit Christian organization that has continuously provided help to the homeless and needy in Jacksonville and Northeast Florida since 1946. CRM was established by a group of Christian businessmen who saw a need to help alcoholics in the Jacksonville area. Their goal at the time (1946) was to offer “soup, soap and salvation”. The original mission has evolved into a privately funded organization whose mission is to serve the homeless and needy through the love and compassion of Jesus Christ. In addition to CRM's emergency overnight shelter and food services, CRM also offers the LifeBuilders Program. LifeBuilders is a Bible-based, residential, transformation program and is Jacksonville’s only non-denominational Christian, long-term residential recovery program. Participants in the LifeBuilders Program live at the McDuff campus for approximately 18 months, making a commitment to abide by all requirements which will ultimately enable them to rediscover how to care for themselves and their families.

???? This weekend, City Rescue Mission had a wonderful time fellowshipping at the North Riverside Spring Festival! We were grateful for the opportunity to share the life-changing services we offer and connect with the community. Genesis Missionary Baptist Church, you were a gracious host! The event was jam packed—free food, a bounce house and games for kids, uplifting music from the Jesus Bus, and exciting raffle prizes. UF Health Pharmacy was there to provide Narcan. But, the most powerful moment of the day? The altar call for salvation and prayer—so many people came forward, and hearts were truly moved.
