Project Spotlight: Hercules Park is officially open! ??? This incredible new community space is the first new park built in Zephyrhills in over 40 years, and we are proud to have played a role in bringing this vision to life. Jonathan Rose visited Zephyrhills High School to educate students about the dangers of distracted driving as part of the Impact Teen Drivers program. Cpl. Rose emphasized that distractions behind the wheel go beyond just cell phones—they include disruptive passengers, loud music, and more. ?? Did you know? Car crashes are the?#1?cause of teen deaths in America. By making safe choices and staying focused, we can create a culture where reckless and distracted driving is unacceptable.

We’re proud to announce that the?City of Zephyrhills?has been named 1st Runner-Up in the 2025-2026 Florida City & County Management Association (FCCMA) Membership Directory Photo Contest! ???? Captured by local resident Debbie Kring, our award-winning photo will be featured on the FCCMA home page from October 1 – December 31, 2025! This stunning photograph showcases a ballerina posing in front of the vibrant new mural on the?East Pasco Chamber?building — highlighting the beauty, culture, and charm of the?#cityofzephyrhills. The FCCMA photo contest received 35 submissions from jurisdictions across Florida, and many votes were cast to decide the overall winner and runner-ups. The City of Zephyrhills proudly recognizes February as Black History Month, a time to honor the achievements, contributions, and legacies of African-Americans throughout history. As we prepare for the grand opening celebration of Hercules Park - on Thursday, Feb. 13, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, at 38100 County Road 54 - we also take this moment to commemorate all the African-American workers, families, and descendants of the former Hercules Powder Company Camp No. 39. During the park's grand opening event, the #cityofzephyrhills will pay tribute to the vital role these individuals from Camp No. 39 played in shaping our community - acknowledging the lasting impact they had on the land where our new park is built. We invite everyone to join us in celebrating this important history and the many contributions African-Americans have made to our town and beyond.
