? Great American Teach-In? Earlier this week, the City of Zephyrhills visited Woodland Elementary School, providing students a hands-on lesson in solid waste collection operations. ?? Our #cityofzephyrhills Public Works Department rolled out one of the city’s sanitation trucks, and students had a blast learning about: ? How garbage and recycling are collected ? What happens to residential trash after it’s picked up The kids even got to jump right in to one of our trucks for the ultimate behind-the-scenes experience! Thank you to everyone for making the educational event so memorable!

City of Zephyrhills intern Francesca Cufino recently went on a ride-along with Zephyrhills Police Department Officer (ZPD) Joel Aguayo, getting an inside look at what it's like to work the night shift. What’s Officer Aguayo’s favorite perk of his shift? Having the fitness center all to himself for a post-shift workout! Aguayo joined ZPD in July 2023. Born in Tampa and raised in Zephyrhills, he was a multi-sport athlete at Zephyrhills High School, competing in basketball and football. He's part of long line of Bulldog alumni who have stepped up to serve with the ZPD!
