?? Another popular, longtime Westside business is relocating to Walker ?? Siciliano's Market is moving to its new home in the Standale downtown district! The location is the former B2 Outlet. Stay tuned!

Here's a look at the highlights from Monday evening's City Commission meeting. City Commission meeting are the 2nd and 4th Mondays of every month - beginning at 6:30 pm.

Thank you to the team at Owen-Ames-Kimball Co. for capturing the spirit of our groundbreaking for the new Kent District Library earlier this month! As Mayor Gary Carey reiterates, this new facility will be a place for every generation in our community. From toddlers up through our retired seniors, there’s a place for everyone to connect and feel a place of belonging.

Please note that City offices - including leaf drop-off service - will be closed on Monday, Nov. 11, in observance of Veterans Day.

Calling all small businesses!

Today, we broke ground on the new library that will sit on the campus of City Hall. A library that will be a beacon of learning, literacy, and community spirit! This significant day has been years in the making. Input and feedback from you - our community - were vital in bringing us to where we are today. We are creating more than just a library; we are fostering a stronger, more connected community and investing in our people and their potential. Thank you to Kent District Library, Owen-Ames-Kimball Co., Prein&Newhof, and Studio GC architecture+interiors. Look for library progress updates in the coming weeks.
