???? Honoring 9/11: Valdosta Leadership in Remembrance On this solemn day, Mayor Scott Matheson, City Manager Richard Hardy, Assistant City Manager Catherine Ammons, and other Valdosta city officials attended 9/11 Memorial Ceremonies at both the Lowndes County Courthouse and Moody Air Force Base. Mayor Matheson had the distinct honor of speaking at both events, delivering powerful words of remembrance and unity. As a retired U.S. Air Force member, City Manager Hardy was especially honored to attend these ceremonies, standing in solidarity with military personnel, first responders, and community members to reflect on the heroes and lives lost on that fateful day. Valdosta leadership remains committed to ensuring we never forget the sacrifices made and the strength shown by our nation.

?? Today, Valdosta was honored to host Tyler Hofmann-Reardon, Legislative Assistant to Senator Warnock’s Office, along with Adrian Rivers. Tyler, who specializes in transportation and water infrastructure, toured our city with City Manager Richard Hardy, Assistant City Manager Catherine Ammons, City Engineer Ben O’Dowd, and Utilities Director Jason Barnes. They showcased current and future infrastructure projects aimed at enhancing our wastewater treatment plant and flood management efforts. These improvements are crucial for our community’s resilience and growth, ensuring a better future for all Valdostans. We’re grateful for Tyler’s support and insight as we continue to strengthen our city’s infrastructure. ????
